The name came when I was in high school and fresh into the rap game
proper. Every one wanted a name that didnt sound weak and Ruggedman was
the one I came up with, after I thought the phrase Mc was a bit over
flogged,cos I was Soul Mc before.
Born in Abia State Nigeria.I do ma rap with a fussion of my local
lingua,so da world will know where I am coming from.
Dropped my first song titled "Ehen Pt.1,in which I critisized the so
called top musicians in Nigeria.That made me enemy number 1 n shot me
into the main stream.
Now I run my own label in Nigeria "RUGGED RECORDS"
Have performed alongside KC n Jojo,Guru,Sean Paul,Wyclef Jean,Akon,Wayne
Wonder,Ja Rule,Kevin Little,Maxie Priest, Ruggedmans been performing
all over Nigeria right now and is Nigerias most wanted rap act.
I am the most featured Nigerian rapper in Nigeria.Have featured in over
60 tracks.MEANING MY VOICE IS GOING TO BE HEARD FOR A LONG TIME TO COME
IN THIS COUNTRY AND WHERE EVER THE MUSIC IS TAKEN TO..feel me?
Have gotten awards in Nigeria like 2003 FAME Awards for best new
artist,2003 Award For Musical Excellence (AMEN) AWARDS 2003 Best new
artist,best solo performance,best rap video and Artist of the year.2004
Nigerian Entertainment Awards for best solo performance.2004 AMEN AWARDS
for best solo performance.2005 Kora All African Awards Nominee for Best
Male Artist West Africa.2006 Hip Hop Artist of the year at the just
concluded NIGERIA MUSIC AWARD held in London.
